November is an exciting time to head out. The typical snow season in Lapland runs from November to April, with snow starting to arrive beginning to mid-November, though, of course, weather is never entirely guaranteed! Visiting at this time of year means you get to experience the start of the winter season, the twinkling festive lights, the cosy atmosphere, and the pure magic of Christmas while missing the inflated prices.

With only 3 days here, every minute counts, especially when you want to squeeze maximum magic out of a short trip. Here are our top tips for nailing a 2-night stay at the Santa Claus Holiday Village:
Wrap in Layers: November temperatures in Lapland can drop well below freezing. Skip the pricey specialised snowsuit packages beforehand and pack plenty of thermal base layers, wool socks, and windproof outer layers. Vinted is great for purchasing items that you may only use for a few days and you can then resell them again.
Book Activities Early: Because you're saving so much on the flights and hotel, you may have more room in the budget to book additional activities such as, a reindeer sleigh ride, a husky safari, or a Northern Lights tour right from the Arctic Circle.
