Atmosphere and Setting: A Charming Escape in Warrington

The location of Little India in The Ring O Bells is truly part of its appeal.  Stepping into the pub, you feel instantly at ease.  The traditional pub environment, with it's low lighting and rustic decor, provides a uniquely charming atmosphere for enjoying Indian food.  It’s a cosy pub Indian restaurant experience that feels authentic and intimate.  The menu itself promises a fusion of the best in traditional curries and exciting modern dishes, all prepared with fresh ingredients and bold, authentic spices.

Starters: The Perfect Combination of Spices

To kick off our evening, we ordered the essential poppadoms and chutney tray.  But the real highlight was the Mixed Kebab starter.  This platter is a fantastic way to sample their best appetisers, featuring perfectly spiced chicken tikka, succulent lamb kofte, and crispy onion bhaji, served with a fresh side salad.  The meat was remarkably tender, and every item tasted freshly prepared, a perfect balance of textures and flavours that left us excited for the mains.

The Main Event: Butter Chicken Perfection and a Sizzling Grill

Choosing a main course was tough given the variety, but my selection was a winner,  the Butter Chicken.  I can honestly say this is the tastiest Indian dish I have ever eaten.  The chunks of chicken were unbelievably tender, swimming in a rich, creamy, and wonderfully buttery sauce.  It was comfort food elevated to gourmet status and a dish I would return for immediately.

Mark, opted for the dramatic Tandoori Mixed Grill served with a punchy vindaloo sauce on the side.  When it arrived on a sizzler plate, the intense aroma of smoked and spiced meat instantly filled the air.  The meat on the grill, a beautiful assortment of tandoori specialities was just as tender as the starters and perfectly complemented by the heat of the vindaloo sauce.

To accompany our feast, we shared fluffy special rice, perfectly crisp spicy chips, and a huge, pillowy garlic naan.  They were the ideal sides to soak up every last drop of the delicious sauces.

Our Verdict: A Highly Recommended Taste of India

Throughout our meal, the portions were generous, ensuring we certainly didn't leave hungry, and the prices were very reasonable given the high quality of the ingredients and preparation. The staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly dedicated to making sure every table had a fantastic experience.

We had a lovely evening at Little India at The Ring O Bells. If you are searching for an exceptional meal in a relaxed and charming environment, we wholeheartedly recommend this spot.  It is undeniably one of the best Indian restaurants in Warrington and we will absolutely be returning again soon.
