We recently visited Dino Falls Golf, where we experienced a unique blend of mini golf excitement and prehistoric themed fun that makes it a must visit destination for families, friends, and golf enthusiasts alike. Here’s a detailed review of our visit, highlighting what makes Dino Falls Golf stand out.
First Impressions & Booking
We were looking for something a bit different to break up the half-term holidays, and an outdoor adventure felt like the perfect way to burn off some energy. Located at Trafford Golf Centre, Dino Falls is hard to miss, we had recently spotted the huge dinosaurs when passing by on the motorway on our way to the Trafford Centre. We booked online and paid £32 for a family ticket (which covers 2 adults and 2 children), which felt like good value for a premium attraction in Manchester. When we arrived there was lots of building work going on on site but this didn't impact the dino falls golf, we headed to reception for our gold clubs and then followed the signs to the course.
Our Experience
Dino Falls is a creatively designed with a captivating dinosaur theme that appeals to all ages, it isn't just one course, it’s a massive 36 hole complex divided into two 18 hole adventures:
The Rapids Course: The original course that navigates winding river paths and cascading waterfalls.
The Volcano Course: Which features a 6 metre erupting volcano that you actually get to play inside.
We let the boys choose which course we did, so they opted for the Volcano Course and the attention to detail is fantastic. From the moment we started, we were surrounded by huge dinosaurs. The holes are well designed with the theme and are challenging enough to keep the adults interested but accessible enough that the kids didn't get frustrated. It took us around an hour to complete the 18 holes which was the perfect length of time and timed perfectly as the rain stated as soon as we returned to the car.
Top Tip: If you want to spent longer there, you can play the second course for half price if you do both on the same day!
Overall Impression
Dino Falls Golf offered everything we look for in a family day out, fun, adventure, and plenty of opportunities for our competitive streak to shine. The course is well designed and engaging for both little dinosaur fans and older kids who love a good contest. We had such a good laugh the whole way round, especially when certain people claimed their ball “accidentally” rolled closer to the hole. We’ll absolutely be returning to try out the Rapids Course next time. Next time, i'll be keeping an even closer eye on the scorecard!
